True Brew is an Australian Influenced Cafe on the high street in London.
Brief (Shillington): Create a name and branding for a Cafe based on the High Street in London. The owner had lived in Australia for a number of years and he wanted this to reflect in the brand.
Solution: I decided on the name True Brew as a play on “True Blue” Aussie and went with extra bold colours to reflect the bold tone of voice. I always like to play with humour, so I went with some super Australian taglines.
Brand Identity - Bubble Yum
Brief (@growandglowclub): Introducing Bubble yum - yummy gums with a huge variety of tasty flavours to chose from! 🍬
Bubble yum’s gums doesn’t contain any weird artificial ingredients or preservatives, they believe all that stuff is unnecessary!!
Just like their gums are bursting with flavour they wish their brand identity to burst with personality!
Solution: My first point of call was to produce a fun, modern and eye catching logo, something colourful and bold. So I came up with the juiciest, bubbliest lock up using Sweet Chilli sauce to write out the initial words and then input into illustrator to create the final look. From there I was careful in selecting a versatile and fun font for the main copy with imagery to match.
Re-brand for Sun Valley, Idaho.
Brief (Shillington): Re-brand Sun Valley Winter Resort, Idaho, U.S.A. Sun Valley Resort wants to be seen as both a summer and winter getaway.
Solution: Sun Valley had very average branding, nothing that really stood out or drew attention. I wanted to create promotional collateral that would instantly grab your attention. I decided on the tagline “Sun Valley, Larger than life” and went from there to create collages and copy that would go along with this theme. I made the designs modern yet retro to tie in the resorts long history.
Campaign for Peta to raise awareness about the dangers of puppy farming in Australia.
Brief (Shillington): Create a campaign to boost awareness for a certain global or national issue.
Solution: I designed a campaign based around the dangers of puppy farming. Dogs are often caged in like a hen and forced to breed for the majority of their lives. Some don’t get to see real daylight and get torn away from their young as soon as they are born. I create the comparison between caged hens and caged dogs because the demographic for this campaign would also be inclined to purchase organic or free range eggs and would therefore understand the issue when put in a similar setting.
Design for travel magazine.
Brief (Shillington): Time Out Magazine needs a design for a new unconventional travel magazine they are about to release.
Solution: The aim for this design was to create a sleek and modern design that would grab the attention of younger consumers. I was able to create a custom typeface for both headings.
